McCoul’s Public House

Sunday, Max and I ventured to McCouls for an early lunch. We got there about 11:15 and already the place was full. McCouls is a great authentic Irish Pub in downtown Greensboro. With beautiful historic décor and a wonderfully shaded patio. McCouls boasts over 200 beers on tap. They have a full service bar and a huge menu with an Irish flavor. While they serve burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and salads, they also have a delightful specialty menu with Fish-n-Chips, Irish Lamb Stew, and Cornbeef Hash.

On Sunday, Max got the Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger with fries and I had the Pear and Walnut Salad with Chicken. Both of our dishes were huge portions that we could have easily shared. Max enjoyed his burger. It was 1/2 pound hand-pattied angus beef with cheddar and bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. The side of fries were good. My salad was delicious!  They also offered a nice and varied brunch menu. Jenny was our very attentive server and while she stayed busy, she made sure we were well taken care of!

Menu items range from $6.95 -$13.95 for lunch and up to $23.95 for dinner.

We will definitely go back to McCouls!

McCouls is at 1110 West McGee Street in Greensboro

They are open 7 days a week from 11 am-2 am
